السيرة
- عام 1936 وفي بيئة ريفية وأسرة بربرية تنتمي إلى عرش الحراكتة الذي يحتل سفح الأوراس والذي يقول ابن خلدون إنه جنس أتى من تزاوج العرب والبربر, ولد الطاهر وطار بعد أن فقدت أمه ثلاثة بطون قبله, فكان الابن المدلل للأسرة الكبيرة التي يشرف عليها الجد المتزوج بأربع نساء أنجبت كل واحدة منهن عدة رجال لهم نساء وأولاد أيضا.
- كان الجد أميا لكن له حضور اجتماعي قوي فهو الحاج الذي يقصده كل عابر سبيل حيث يجد المأوى والأكل, وهو كبير العرش الذي يحتكم عنده, وهو المعارض الدائم لممثلي السلطة الفرنسية, وهو الذي فتح كتابا لتعليم القرآن الكريم بالمجان, وهو الذي يوقد النار في رمضان إيذانا بحلول ساعة الإفطار, لمن لا يبلغهم صوت الحفيد المؤذن.
- يقول الطاهر وطار, إنه ورث عن جده الكرم والأنفة, وورث عن أبيه الزهد والقناعة والتواضع, وورث عن أمه الطموح والحساسية المرهفة, وورث عن خاله الذي بدد تركة أبيه الكبيرة في الأعراس والزهو الفن.
- تنقل الطاهر مع أبيه بحكم وضيفته البسيطة في عدة مناطق حتى استقر المقام بقرية مداوروش التي لم تكن تبعد عن مسقط الرأس بأكثر من 20 كلم.
- هناك اكتشف مجتمعا آخر غريبا في لباسه وغريبا في لسانه, وفي كل حياته, فاستغرق في التأمل وهو يتعلم أو يعلم القرآن الكريم.
- التحق بمدرسة جمعية العلماء التي فتحت في 1950 فكان من ضمن تلاميذها النجباء.
- أرسله أبوه إلى قسنطينة ليتفقه في معهد الإمام عبد الحميد بن باديس في 1952.
- انتبه إلى أن هناك ثقافة أخرى موازية للفقه ولعلوم الشريعة, هي الأدب, فالتهم في أقل من سنة ما وصله من كتب جبران خليل جبران ومخائيل نعيمة, وزكي مبارك وطه حسين والرافعي وألف ليلة وليلة وكليلة ودمنة.

- راسل مدارس في مصر فتعلم الصحافة والسينما, في مطلع الخمسينات.
- التحق بتونس في مغامرة شخصية في 1954 حيث درس قليلا في جامع الزيتونة.
- في 1956 انضم إلى جبهة التحرير الوطني وظل يعمل في صفوفها حتى 1984.
- تعرف عام 1955على أدب جديد هو أدب السرد الملحمي, فالتهم الروايات والقصص والمسرحيات العربية والعالمية المترجمه, فنشر القصص في جريدة الصباح وجريدة العمل وفي أسبوعية لواء البرلمان التونسي وأسبوعية النداء ومجلة الفكر التونسية.
- استهواه الفكر الماركسي فاعتنقه, وظل يخفيه عن جبهة التحرير الوطني, رغم أنه يكتب في إطاره.
- عمل في الصحافة التونسية: لواء البرلمان التونسي والنداء التي شارك في تأسيسها, وعمل في يومية الصباح , وتعلم فن الطباعة.
- أسس في 1962 أسبوعية الأحرار بمدينة قسنطينة وهي أول أسبوعية في الجزائر المستقلة.
- أسس في 1963 أسبوعية الجماهير بالجزائر العاصمة أوقفتها السلة بدورها.
- في 1973 أسس أسبوعية الشعب الثقافي وهي تابعة ليومية الشعب, أوقفتها السلطات في 1974 لأنه حاول أن يجعلها منبرا للمثقفين اليساريين .
- في 1990 أسس مجلتي التبيين والقصيدة ( تصدران حتى اليوم).
- من 1963 إلى 1984 عمل بحزب جبهة التحرير الوطني عضوا في اللجنة الوطنية للإعلام مع شخصيات مثل محمد حربي, ثم مراقبا وطنيا حتى أحيل على المعاش وهو في سن 47 .
- شغل منصب كدير عام للإذاعة الجزائرية عامي 91 و1902
- عمل في الحياة السرية معارضا لانقلاب 1965 حتى أواخر الثمانينات.
- اتخذ موقفا رافضا لإلغاء انتخابات 1992 ولإرسال آلاف الشباب إلى المحتشدات في الصحراء دون محاكمة, ويهاجم كثيرا عن موقفه هذا, وقد همش بسببه.
- كرس حياته للعمل الثقافي التطوعي وهو يرأس ويسير الجمعية الثقافية الجاحظية منذ 1989 وقبلها كان حول بيته إلى منتدى يلتقي فيه المثقفون كل شهر.

Biography

· In 1936, in a rural environment and from a Berber family of the Haratka tribe which lives in the foothills of the Aures and which according to Ibn Khaldoun is the result of the intermingling of Arabs and Berbers, Tahar Ouettar was born after three children lost by his mother. He was the spoiled child of a big family led by a grandfather who had four wives, each gave birth to many men who have also wives and children.[/ltr]

· The grandfather was illiterate but with a strong social presence. He was the Hajji any passer-by would look for in order to have shelter and food. He was the elder of the clan from whom they seek justice. He was also the permanent opponent to the representatives of the French authority. He was the one who opened a school to teach the Koran free of charge. He was the one who lit the fire in Ramadan to inform people who did not hear his grandson’s adhan of the time to break fast.[/ltr]

· Tahar Ouettar says that he inherited generosity and pride from his grandfather, asceticism, contentment and modesty from his father, ambition and sensibility from his mother, love of art and glamour from his maternal uncle who squandered all he inherited from his father.[/ltr]

· Because of his father’s modest position, Tahar traveled to many areas until he settled in Medaourouch, a village 20 km far from his birthplace.[/ltr]

Biographie
[ltr]· En 1936, dans un environnement rural et d'une famille Berbère de la tribu des Haratkas qui occupe les piémonts de l'Aures et qui selon Ibn Khaldoun est le résultat du mariage entre les Arabes et les Berbères, Tahar Ouettar est né après que sa mère avait perdu trois enfants avant lui. Il était l'enfant gâté d'une grande famille dirigée par un grand-père qui a eu quatre épouses; chacune a donné naissance à beaucoup d'hommes qui avaient également des épouses et des enfants.[/ltr]
[ltr]· Le grand-père était illettré mais avec une forte présence sociale. Il était le Hadji que n'importe quel passant rechercherait afin d’obtenir abri et nourriture. Il était le vieux du clan qui fait office de justice. Il était également l'adversaire permanent des représentants de l'autorité française. Il était celui qui a ouvert une école pour enseigner le Coran gratuitement. Il était celui qui allumait le feu pendant le mois de Ramadan pour informer les personnes qui n'ont pas entendu l’adhan de son petit-fils de l'heure de rompre le jeûne.[/ltr]
[ltr]· Tahar Ouettar dit qu'il a hérité la générosité et la fierté de son grand-père, l’ascétisme, le contentement et la modestie de son père, l'ambition et la sensibilité de sa mère, l’amour de l‘art et des loisirs de son oncle maternel qui a gaspillé tout ce qu’il a hérité de son père.[/ltr]
